ABSTRACT.
The traditional approach to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) in most traits has been based on the combined analysis of molecular and phenotypic information by searching for significant associations. Different methodologies are available to find the location of a QTL on a chromosome and to estimate the additive and/or dominant effects. However, the knowledge of biological processes underlying the expression of a specific trait has not been expressly included in the standard techniques. |

Este trabajo tiene por objetivos, en un contexto general de expansión de la agricultura e intensificación de la producción agropecuaria en general:
a) constituir una colección de germoplasma de Bromus auleticus representativa de la diversidad genética existente en el país, que a su vez pueda ser conservada a largo plazo en el Banco de Germoplasma de INIA-La Estanzuela; b)generar una caracterización básica del germoplasma que permita no solo disponer de una descripción morfológica básica, sino también una primera aproximación de la adaptación de distintas poblaciones locales a ambientes contrastantes, como en
INIA Glencoe e INIA La Estanzuela; c)generar la base de conocimiento necesaria para identificar poblaciones de Bromus auleticus que puedan ser utilizadas para recuperar campos naturales degradados aumentando la producción invernal y calidad del forraje. |
